Recently, the reporter learned from the State Electricity Regulatory Commission that in October the country will formally implement three standards for electric vehicle charging facilities. The other five standards are also under intense development. To prepare for the electric vehicle electricity market, the grid company will strengthen the upgrading of the power grid industry and accelerate the construction of smart grid and electric vehicle charging facilities.

The three standards to be implemented in October are “Technical Conditions for Non-vehicle Conductive Chargers for Electric Vehicles”, “Technical Conditions for AC Charging Points for Electric Vehicles” and “Communication Protocols for Monitoring Units and Battery Management Systems for Off-board Chargers of Electric Vehicles”. .

At present, the Energy Bureau is organizing power grid companies, oil production companies, etc. to discuss the other five standards and plans to announce them to the public during the year.

According to relevant forecasts, when the annual sales of electric vehicles reach 200 million, the new electricity demand will be about 490 billion yuan. Shi Yubo, vice chairman of the State Electricity Regulatory Commission, said that electric vehicles are closely related to the electric power industry, and the large-scale use of electric vehicles will open up a new electricity market. Research data shows that if there are 50 million electric vehicles in 2020, the annual energy consumption will reach 200 billion kilowatt-hours; if the number of electric vehicles in 2030 increases to 200 million, the annual energy consumption will be 800 billion kilowatt-hours. Taking Shanghai residents' electricity consumption (not summer) at about 0.617 yuan/kWh, the new electricity consumption in 2030 will reach 490 billion yuan.
