German brand tires and North American manufacturers parted ways

The German company Mark Tyre has announced that by the second quarter of 2012, it will be responsible for the marketing of its ContiTreadprecure retreaded brand. Previously, the Italian Marangoni Group not only produced these treads for the Ma Brand Group, but also responsible for the marketing of this brand in Europe.

According to the retreading business unit of the Mamagrid Group, the company successfully passed ContiTreadprecure treads to the European market in 2008 through a licensing agreement with Marangoni. From April 2012, the company will directly sell ContiTread products through its own marketing team. The precure retreads will be fully integrated with the ContiLifeCycle concept. The company stated that the entire ContiLifeCycle concept aims to provide customers with "effective and sustainable service solutions." ContiLifeCycle's tailor-made solutions for customers cover the entire life cycle of the tire – starting from new tires, to re-patterning, carcass management and retreading.

As early as late November 2011, the two companies announced that their manufacturing and marketing of ContiTread refurbishing materials in North America will diverge. In a joint statement, both parties announced that Marangoni Treads (North America) will no longer manufacture ContiTread branded Ringtread retreads. The horses sign that they will sell these tires in the U.S. and Canadian markets through a network of partners. To this end, the company also established a tread raw material factory in Mexico.
