In the first half of the year, the output value of new machinery products in China's machinery industry increased by 41.46%

According to the statistics released recently by the China Federation of Machinery Industry, in the first half of this year, the output value of new products of the Chinese machinery industry increased significantly year-on-year, and the growth rate of the output value of new products was always faster than that of the entire industry. “This shows that after the implementation of the equipment manufacturing industry and the automobile industry restructuring and revitalization plan, the technological progress of the machinery industry has become more active.” said Cai Weici, executive vice president of the China Federation of Machinery Industry.

According to statistics, in the first half of this year, the total output value of new products of the machinery industry was 1,244.05 billion yuan, an increase of 41.46% year-on-year, an increase of 33.15 percentage points over the same period of last year. Among them, the growth rates of 7 industries, including automobiles, engineering, file management, basic parts, food packaging, and mechanical basic parts, exceeded 45%.

From June 2009, the growth rate of the output value of new machinery products began to rise month by month. Since the beginning of this year, the growth rate of the output value of new products has always been faster than the growth rate of production and sales. In the first half of the year, the accumulated output was faster than the production and sales of 4.52 and 3.52 percentage points respectively. At the same time, the output value rate of new products has further increased. In the first half of this year, it was 18.87%, an increase of 0.66 percentage points year-on-year.

The contribution rate of the new products of the machinery industry to the growth of the industry has further increased, which has promoted the further adjustment and optimization of the industry technology and product structure. Taking the machine tool industry as an example, this year, driven by the needs of key areas such as large aircrafts, high-speed railways, and nuclear power equipment, the machine tool industry has developed to high-end and large-scale development, and the technological innovation momentum of large-scale, heavy-duty machine tools and high-end CNC machine tools is accelerating. In the first half of the year, the output of CNC machine tools increased by 111.18% year-on-year, which was significantly higher than that of ordinary machine tools.

High-end equipment independent innovation has also made new achievements, and the self-sufficiency rate has continuously increased. According to reports, since the beginning of this year, many high-end products with independent innovation have been launched in succession. For example, key castings and forgings required for nuclear power equipment have been independently developed; the world’s first ±800 kV Yunguang-UHV DC transmission project has been completed and put into production. “All these indicate that China's machinery industry's ability for independent innovation is continuously improving. At the same time, independent innovation activities have been pushed from the host level to the key supporting component level, and some independent key innovations in key components and special high-quality raw materials that have been subject to imports have been accelerating. Cai Weici said.

"In the second half of the year, China's macroeconomic situation is expected to further develop. In this context, the demand for machinery products from all walks of life is expected to remain stable." Cai Weici said that this year is the implementation of adjustment and revitalization of the equipment manufacturing and automotive industries.
