Taiwan's Donglian Chemical Co., Ltd. plans to build a third PTA plant with a capacity of 1 million tons per year at Shanghai Yadong Petrochemical. The company's PTA plant in Taiwan has two production lines with production capacities of 400,000 tons and 450,000 tons respectively. In 2008, the PTA plant capacity of Shanghai Yadong Petrochemical was 600,000 tons/year. Currently, the plant is running at full capacity. The company plans to build a second PTA plant with a production capacity of 900,000 tons/year. The new plant will start construction next year. It was completed and put into production in 2013.
