China's domestic agricultural machinery market demand is becoming saturated and overseas has gradually become an important market.

At the meeting, the Asia-Pacific Agricultural Machinery Testing Network (ANTAM) 2017 Work Summary Report and the 2018 Work Plan were reviewed, and the progress and achievements of the 2017 Asia-Pacific Agricultural Machinery Testing Network technical work and capacity building activities were reviewed, focusing on walking tractors and powder sprayers. The three ANTAM standard technologies such as the rice transplanter were discussed, and the recommendations of the European Agricultural Machinery Testing Network (ENTAM) and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) on the ANTAM standards and work procedures were heard. The meeting initially approved the proposal of the ANTAM standard update mechanism, and determined the working procedures and framework for the qualification certification and test results evaluation of the ANTAM test station. In principle, it agreed to use the walking tractor, powder sprayer and rice transplanter on the basis of further revision and improvement. Waiting for three criteria, the discussion also confirmed the details of the ANTAM standard release. The meeting elected the Philippines as the chairman of ANTAM in 2018 and Indonesia as the vice-chairman. During the visit, delegates visited the field work demonstrations of Philippine agricultural machinery manufacturers and machinery.

At the meeting, the Chinese representative proposed to further revise and improve the ANTAM rice transplanter standard drafted this year, and appropriately maintain the relative stability of the post-release standards, emphasizing that ANTAM should learn from the work procedures and mechanism construction of the test station qualification certification and test results evaluation. China, other member states and the OECD's existing experience expand the training content of the ANTAM training course to be held in China in 2018. These proposals were approved by the representatives of the member states.
