Guizhou Banjiang Expressway was opened to traffic

Recently, from Shantou, Guangdong to Kunming, Yunnan, the national expressway, Guizhou, from the area of ​​the Banbanba to the Jiangdi section was opened to traffic.

The total investment of the Banjiang Expressway is 9.23 billion yuan, and the total length is 126 kilometers. The construction of a four-lane expressway is adopted. After the expressway is completed and open to traffic, it can connect Guangxi directly to the Pearl River Delta in the east and Yunnan to Southeast Asia in the west, which will improve the transportation conditions and investment environment in the southwest of Guizhou Province, and promote the Guizhou, especially the Qianxi southwestern and eastern coasts and the western ASEAN. Regional exchanges and cooperation, promoting the implementation of the strategy of strengthening industrial provinces and urbanization, and accelerating the process of poverty alleviation and development in the rock and desertification areas in the Yunnan-Guizhou-Guizhou Desertification Area are of great strategic importance.

It is understood that there are 5 national highways passing through Guizhou, with a total size of approximately 2,239 kilometers. By the end of 2011, construction has begun for all of them, of which 1466 kilometers have been built and the remaining 773 kilometers are planned to be built during the 12th Five-Year Plan period.
