The correct installation flow of cylindrical bearings

A handle can be added to the sleeve when installing the bearing in large quantities.

Bearings should be installed so that the centerline of the bearing bore and the shaft coincide. Bearing skew relative to the shaft is not only difficult to install, but also causes indentation, bending of the journal, and even rupture of the bearing inner ring. Where the press is not available or cannot be used, the bearing can be mounted using a fitting sleeve and a hammer. The hammering force should be evenly transmitted to the entire circumference of the end face of the bearing ring, so that the hammered end face of the fitting sleeve should be made into a spherical shape.

(2) The outer ring of the bearing and the hole of the housing are closely matched. The inner ring and the shaft are loosely fitted. The bearing can be pressed into the housing first. At this time, the outer diameter of the assembly sleeve should be slightly smaller than the diameter of the housing hole.

(3) The inner ring of the bearing and the shaft, the outer ring and the housing hole are tightly fitted, and the end face of the assembly sleeve should be made into a ring that can simultaneously press the end face of the inner ring of the bearing, or a disc and assembly sleeve can be used. The pressure is transmitted to the inner and outer rings at the same time, and the bearing is pressed into the shaft and the housing. This mounting method is particularly suitable for the installation of self-aligning radial spherical bearings.

(4) heating installation, the force required to install the bearing is related to the size of the bearing and the size of the fit. For the large and medium-sized bearings with large interference, the hot-loading method is commonly used. Before hot loading, place the bearing or detachable bearing ring into a fuel tank or dedicated heater and heat evenly to 80-100°C (should not exceed 100°C).

Hot-loaded bearings require skilled operating skills. After the bearing is removed from the heating tank or the heater, immediately wipe off the traces and attachments of the bearing surface with a clean cloth (cannot use cotton yarn), then place it in front of the mating surface and push the bearing in one operation. To withstand the shoulder position. Always tighten during cooling, or use a small hammer to tap the bearing against the assembly sleeve. Slightly rotate the bearing during installation to prevent tilting or jamming.

When the outer ring of the bearing and the bore of the housing are tightly fitted, the shell can also be heated and loaded into the bearing. Especially in the case of tight fitting, the bearing seat made of light metal may damage the mating surface due to press-fitting of the outer ring of the bearing.
