Airbus Establishes New Material Research Center in China

Airbus Group Innovation Department, AVIC Institute of Basic Technology and Beihang Institute of China and France signed an agreement at the 10th China International Aerospace Exhibition on the 11th to jointly establish a new material research center of excellence for new material innovation in aircraft and aerospace system applications. Research, the main cooperation content includes research, education, and international cooperation and knowledge sharing.

It is reported that the research will include all kinds of materials such as metals, ceramics, macromolecule polymers and composite materials, and will cover the development of new materials and new processing technologies. At the same time, the Center of Excellence will expand academic research through the China-France Institute of Engineers and provide support and guidance for student research projects and doctoral dissertations across the basic training cycle of the project.
