It is understood that Zhuhai Yuchai Ship Power Co., Ltd. is located in Fushan Industrial Park, Zhuhai City. It is invested by Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Group Co., Ltd., the largest internal combustion engine production base in China, to produce and sell low-speed high-power marine diesel engines. The total investment of the project is 4 billion yuan, of which the first phase has a production capacity of 1.2 million horsepower/year, and the second phase of the project has a cumulative capacity of 5 million horsepower.
Yan Yong said that at present, the company has introduced the Wärtsilä production license to manufacture the Wärtsilä RT-flex series of fully electronically controlled common rail marine low-speed diesel engines. These products are widely used in bulk carriers, container ships, oil tankers, engineering vessels and other vessels with a capacity of 1-15 thousand DWT. The company's RT-flex35 engine features a fully electronically controlled common rail system for fuel injection and exhaust valve drive and start, which offers superior and leading operational advantages.
According to reports, after the signing of Yuchai and Wärtsilä, Wärtsilä will provide comprehensive technical and service support for Yuchai low-speed and high-power marine diesel engine manufacturing projects, including: management and technical personnel training, factory design, suppliers. Development, process design, manufacturing technology, sales, after-sales service and other support.
“We signed the first batch of engine sales contracts in May 2010. The first machine delivered this month was the first low-speed machine that Yuchai Ships moved in South China, achieving zero breakthrough in the low-speed machine manufacturing industry.” Yan Yiyong told reporters that Since the first pile was laid on November 4, 2010, Yuchai Shipbuilding has set the fastest construction speed in the global low-speed machine industry. It took only 8 months from the start of the plant to the production; and this RT-flex35 engine is the first. The new plant in Taiwan has completed the production of a new design model low-speed machine in the world, and set the fastest output speed of the global low-speed machine industry: from the start of the plant to the delivery of the product less than 12 months.
