In the first 5 months, the production and sales of automobiles stabilized

According to the statistics released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers recently, in May, automobile production and sales decreased slightly from the previous month, and continued to maintain rapid growth year-on-year. From January to May, both the production and sales of automobiles increased, and overall they showed a trend of stabilization and recovery. Sales volume has turned from negative growth to positive growth.

In May, the country’s auto production was 1.571900 units, a decrease of 4.66% from the previous period and a year-on-year increase of 16.19%; sales of 1.6072 million units, a decrease of 1.06% from the previous period and a year-on-year increase of 15.97%.

Among the major types of automobiles, passenger cars produced 1,269,100 units, a decrease of 2.76% from the previous period and a year-on-year increase of 21.56%; sales of 1,291,900 units increased by 0.46% from the previous period and grew by 22.56% year-on-year. The production of commercial vehicles was 301,800 units, a decrease of 11.87% month-on-month and a decrease of 2.02% year-on-year; sales of 323,300 units were down 6.63% month-on-month and 4.30% year-on-year.

From January to May, the national automobile production and sales amounted to 8,003,000 vehicles and 8,023,500 vehicles, an increase of 3.19% and 1.70% year-on-year respectively. Among them, passenger car production and sales were 6,430,700 and 6,330,000, an increase of 7.05% and 5.48%; commercial vehicle sales were 1,659,600 and 1,693,500, a year-on-year decrease of 9.33% and 10.31%.
